Blog. This is my first blog ever. So no apologies, I am just diving in!
2017, while having it’s challenges, was still a pretty terrific year for me. I had more opportunities for “arting” than I have had in any other year. My real estate “side job” also seemed to kind of take off. So, gratitude seems to be my word these days. Grateful for all the opportunities I have had. Grateful for all the support I have had. Grateful for the challenges. Grateful for the friendships and the memories. Grateful for, well - my life. The start of my 2018 chalk season is nearing. I will be in Safety Harbor for the Bloom n Chalk Festival over St Patricks Day. I will be reproducing the “Little Mermaid” by E.S. Hardy. I am so looking forward to it. I am horrible about giving myself the time to do arting every day. So, the event will be an awesome kick in my creative pants to get me through the remainder of winter. I hope you will following me on my chalking adventures. They are so much fun and make my life more happy. I want to share that with all of you. Thank you for dropping by my very first blog ever, I appreciate it and I appreciate you. Side Note: “Arting” is a word invented by granddaughter Evey. (She was 5 at the time) She sat down at my easel in my newly renovated family room and asked “what can we draw?”. I replied, “baby, this is Mimi’s special place to draw.” I didn’t even get to finish my thought before she loudly wailed, with tears in her eyes, “but Mimi I want to do Arting with you!”. So I did what every self respecting grandma would do. I went out and bought a child sized easel to place next to mine, so we can art together.
